"The latest venture of Steven Ellison, aka Flying Lotus, is one that finds him stepping away from his Brainfeeder collective for a multimedia project with animator/filmmaker Miwa Matreyek. The two Los Angeles natives are working together on a piece called The Mapping of Countries Yet to Come that will incorporate FlyLo's jazzy electronic sounds and Matreyek's lush animations.... the duo of artists is trying to raise funds for the project through a Kickstarter campaign. All donations received will be doubled through a matching grant from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, according to the Center for the Arts."
